Cross Country Skiing Lessons
Welcome to our latest fitness adventure! Don't worry, it's going to get even crazier soon - more on that later. Before we truly move out of winter and into full-blown summer though, we really wanted to cross country ski. We both have downhill skiing experience (no Olympian on this couch, but I make it to the bottom), but cross country skiing is considerably cheaper and is possible to do much closer to home.
We opted for a lesson which turned out to be much better than mucking around on the mountain by ourselves. The 2 hour lesson, gear, and trail pass were about $70 each which made this a no-brainer. In the future I'll feel confident going alone but now I have a foundation of skills to build on. It's already nearly past ski season so I probably won't go again until next year but I'm already excited!
Warning: this is a fantastic workout! We followed up one morning of skiing with 3 days of sitting around in hot springs and I still barely recovered...
